The winner of the street-musicians contest for the Gouden Pet contest receives the Gouden Pet. Number one, two and three receive cash prizes. The cash prizes have doubled since 2008 and the distribution of the prize money is as follows: 1e prize: 1.000 euro; 2^e prize: 500 euro; 3^e prize: 250 euro

During the day, the expert jury members select six acts for the finale. The final will take place towards the end of the afternoon. Expert, independent jury members as well as the public will decide who ultimately will be the winner of the Gouden Pet.
